This is a very cool medical splint. It actually dates from about 1860. The wood has a very nice patina but feels a little dry. There is some kind of brass attachment that I assume would have hooked on to something else. There is dis-coloration on the brass. The wood portion measures 6 1/2" long. The brass piece measures just under 6" when it is extended out.
