Dated Oct. 13, 1861 this letter from Adjutant T.D. Hart at Camp Lacey gives the orders for the day. The letter is written on paper 5 x 6.5 paper with American flag litho. The letter mentions Capt. Tickening, Lieutenant Groff, and Major M Greis all members of the 104th Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers Co. H.  This unit was led by Wm. V.H. Davis who was promoted to Brevet Brigadier General.  This unit was recruited in Bucks County PA. Dillar Baer Groff was born in Lancaster PA on April 2nd, 1841. He went to prison in 1904 after defrauding the US Post Office. Included with letter is a  news article about the death of General Grant's mother. Easily readable. good color.
